 Day 12

Native America

Mixed Medium

Portrait of General Ely S. Parker. Ely Samuel Parker (1828 – August 31, 1895), born Hasanoanda (Tonawanda Seneca), later known as Donehogawa, was an engineer, U.S. Army officer, aide to General Ulysses Grant, and Commissioner of Indian Affairs. Parker was present when Confederate general Robert E. Lee surrendered at Appomattox Courthouse in April 1865.
Additional, I depicted a native America style ledger drawing in background.

I used the Civil War Themed Prompt for Artober listed on Day: Artober Prompt
